The SUVAT Equations are a set of 4 Equations that link the following values together:

  1. Displacement (s): m
  1. Initial Velocity (u): ms⁻¹
  1. Final velocity (v): ms⁻¹
  1. Acceleration (a): ms⁻²
  1. Time (t): s

The Equations are:

Practice Questions:

s = 2.0 (because 2 metres)

u = 0 (as it is initial velocity at the top)

v = ? (what we are trying to find out)

a = 9.8 (accelaration on earth.)

t =

v2=u2+2asv^2 = u^2 + 2as You MUST use the formula or else zero.

v2=02+(29.82.0)v^2 = 0^2 + (2*9.8*2.0)

v=6.26ms1v = 6.26ms^-1
